Working Group Charge
This Working Group discusses and makes findings on issues related to the Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact, under which 47 states share information on and recognize suspensions of hunting, trapping, and fishing privileges incurred in other member states for violations of law including, but not limited to:
- Commercial trade in wildlife
- Illegal take of game in closed season
- Illegal take of threatened or endangered species
- Assault on an officer
The Compact affords law enforcement officers more time and resources for enforcement by making administration of penalties more efficient.
