Q: Why did the Association change its name?

A:
It's true that our name and look have changed, but we have exactly the same commitment to our fish and wildlife member agencies. In fact, the changes were due in large part to more accurately elevate the work of our member agencies. Organizational Values

Q: Who are the Association's members?

A:
Members include each of the US state and territorial fish and wildlife agencies; provinces in Canada and Mexico; National Non Governmental Organizations; and Federal Agencies. Members

Q: Does the Association work abroad?

A:
Yes. Our organization's focus is mainly in North American countries, but we do have an International Relations Program. This program's focus is on a variety of global topics, including CITIES.

Q: How often do your committees meet?

A:
Our committees meet twice a year. Once, at the Annual Meeting of the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies, and again at the North American Wildlife and Natural Resources Conference.

Q: Does the Association have other offices?

A:
No. The Association is headquartered in Washington, DC. However, we do have several employees that work in other states. We have one employee in Arkansas, one in South Dakota, and one in Missouri. In addition, the Association's entire Management Assistance Team is located in Shepardstown, West Virginia at the National Conservation Training Center.
