CITES Information

The CITES Technical Work Group received a Multi-state grant to develop education and outreach materials on CITES and other international treaties and conventions, hold workshops at each of the state regional association meetings, and conduct a webinar for state agency.

The first workshop was held in October 2014 at the SEAFWA meeting. The second workshop was held in April 2015 at the NEAFWA meeting. We also held workshops at the June MAFWA meeting and the July WAFWA meeting.

For those that could not attend the workshops we held a CITES webinar on September 24, 2015 from 1:00-3:00 PM Eastern Time. For information on how to view the webinar online please click here. Click here for a copy of the power point.
